Migration and Development Program Coordinator, International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission to the Republic of Moldova.
Since the end of 2005 he works for the International Organization for Migration in the area of Migration and Development. His current assignments include the administration of an EU ENPI Project for enhancing the benefits of migration for development in the Republic of Moldova; his past assignments include the administration of an EC AENEAS Project for enhancing the productive use of remittances in Moldovan economy. In the years 2001-2003 he worked as an a corporate lawyer for a bank and the Moldovan Stock Exchange; he worked in 2004-2005 as an associate in the Banking and Finance unit of the Austrian law firm Schonherr Rechtsanwalte in Bucharest, Romania.
Ghenadie Cretu earned his International Law LL.M. master degree in 2004 at the Legal Studies Department, International Business Law stream of the Central European University, Budapest, Hungary. He also graduated from a Postgraduate Course in international Trade Law with the TMC Asser Institute in The Hague, Netherlands.
